Hi there,

I’m Katharina, a research associate and associate tutor at the University of Sussex, teaching global media and cinema as well as genre narratives. In April 2023 I completed my PhD entitled ‘Domestic Noir: Reading Contemporary Women’s Genre Fiction’. You can find out more about my research here. I am an experienced researcher in qualitative methods including focus groups, in-depth interviewing and surveys.

Having taught for over nine years in different universities and schools, I am an experienced tutor who is passionate about teaching and creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
